About usWAPPCAM (Women in art for the protection of the planet, cameroon) was founded on the 15th of January 2021 in Bafoussam, headquarter of West Region; Cameroon. Our mission is to create a sustainable community-driven by environmentally conscious individuals who are capable of transforming waste into usable products and taking actions that remove waste from the environment, fight climate change, prevent unnecessary extraction and consumption of raw materials from nature, conserve biodiversity and building a community that is financially self-sufficient.

To build a community of female artists who inspire, support each other and collectively think of innovative strategies to produce arts and crafts made from waste materials in order to create generations of artists and crafters who are more environmentally conscious. Also, to raise awareness in the community on environmental management and financial sustainability.

Here are our core objectives aimed at fostering positive change:
Provide free and inclusive training in arts, crafts, and digital design to youth aged 4–25.
Deliver vocational and entrepreneurial training, with a focus on sewing, beading, fashion design, and eco-innovation.
Empower educators through teacher-training programs that integrate art and climate education into schools.
Promote waste transformation through recycling programs that reduce pollution and create income-generating art.
Foster cultural awareness through traditional dance, music, storytelling, and heritage-themed exhibitions.
Strengthen partnerships with schools, NGOs, local authorities, and tourism institutions for greater impact.
Establish creative spaces like the ArtVenture International Training Hub that serve as models for holistic development.
Mrs. Galabe Quinta Nahyong Epouse Duma is an experienced and passionate educator with over a decade of service as a secondary school teacher.
